INFO & FAQ’S
SATURDAY, AUGUST 20 – 2022
The Ride For Mental Health presented by TC Energy is a national event providing an opportunity for Canadians from coast-to-coast to challenge their mental health while raising much needed funds to support the mental health of our Veterans, First Responders and their families.
What is the Ride For Mental Health?
RMH is a non-competitive, all-inclusive, community focused event designed to encourage Canadians to come together in support of our Veterans, First Responders and their families affected by Operational Stress Injuries.
We are encouraging rides to take place on August 19 but if you prefer to ride earlier or later, that’s ok too!
How do I participate?
Select a ride distance, set your fundraising goal and design a route in your community. We encourage individuals to challenge themselves by selecting a longer distance, harder route or committing to a fundraising target. Or create a Team and make it a community event. We will support however you choose to participate including stationary bikes, outdoor routes or hiking trails!
Where should I ride?
That’s totally up to you! Ride wherever you can, whenever you can. You’re welcome to ride at home if that’s what works best for you! Strava is a great tool to find routes near you plus you can join our Ride For Mental Health Cycling Club. Please share your route with your fellow riders and tag @WoundWarriorCA and #rideformentalhealth to show us where your wheels take you!
Can I ride outside of Canada?
Yes, absolutely!
What is Strava?
Strava is a free app that records and lets you track your outdoor activities from anywhere with GPS. You can create routes and connect with other athletes while using your phone’s GPS or smart watch. With a free membership, there is no cost to record and share activities and all basic features are free. Use of this app is totally optional
This is my first time! What should I do to prepare?
Get out on your bike before your Ride Day and make sure your bike gets tuned up and is working properly. On your Ride Day, eat whatever you need to give you long-lasting fuel. Remain hydrated leading up to the Ride, bring full water bottles and take care to hydrate with electrolyte drinks in conditions of extreme heat.
How do I collect donations?
Donations can be made through your personal/team fundraising page. For any cash donations, please use the pledge sheet found in RIDER RESOURCES.
What is the deadline to receive Jersey incentive?
To insure those reaching $500 Jersey incentive receive their kit in time for ride, we will be placing an order August 1, 2023. All additional incentives will be shipped to participants after ride date.
How can businesses get involved?
We encourage businesses and organizations to register as a Team and ride in their community. Starting a company team to both ride and fundraise is a great team-building opportunity. If you are interested in getting your company involved, please reach out to Steve Topham at steve@woundedwarriors.ca to learn about sponsorship opportunities.
I forgot my login information. What do I do?

Can the RMH logo be used to promote ride?
Riders may use the Ride For Mental Health logo design to further promote their efforts. Logo shall not be altered and can be found in RIDER RESOURCES
Tax receipting?
